Who we are
Turnkey Simulators is a trading name of Turnkey Associates Ltd (company number 12709715), The Old Stables, Kings Lane, Cookham, SL6 9AY. We are the controller of the personal data described here. For any question about your data, email hello@turnkeysimulators.com or call 0330 175 6600.
What we collect and why
When you send an enquiry through our website or a Facebook or Instagram lead form, we collect your name, email address, phone number and message. We also note how you found us: the page you sent it from, and whether you came from an advert or a search engine. We use this to reply to you and to discuss your simulator. Our lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries and understanding which advertising works.
When you place an order, we collect your name, email address, phone number, billing and delivery address, and the specification you chose. We use this to build, deliver, install and support your simulator, and to keep accounting records. Our lawful basis is performing our contract with you, and meeting our legal obligations (for example, tax records).
When you contact us by phone, email or WhatsApp, we keep a record of the conversation so we can help you.
When you use our website, see the Cookies section below.
We do not send marketing emails, and we never sell your personal data.
Who we share it with
We use trusted providers to run our business. They handle your data on our instructions and only for these purposes:
- Cloudflare: hosts our website and stores enquiries.
- Resend: sends our enquiry emails.
- Stripe: processes card payments. Stripe receives your payment details directly; we never see your full card number.
- Google and Meta: analytics and advertising measurement, only if you accept cookies. Meta also handles lead forms you complete on Facebook or Instagram.
- Our email provider and accountants, as needed to run the business.
Some of these providers process data outside the UK, for example in the United States. Where they do, the transfer is protected by safeguards recognised under UK data protection law, such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries for up to 2 years after our last contact with you, unless you become a customer. We keep customer and order records for 6 years after your order, as required for tax and accounting, and for as long as you receive support from us.
Your rights
You have the right to ask for a copy of your personal data, and to ask us to correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, or object to our using it. To make a request, email hello@turnkeysimulators.com. We will reply within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please tell us. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
Cookies
If you click "Accept" on our cookie banner, we load Google Analytics, Google Ads and the Meta (Facebook) pixel. These set cookies that help us understand how our website is used and measure our advertising. If you click "Reject", or make no choice, none of them load.
You can change your mind at any time using the "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of every page.
We also store your cookie choice in your browser so we don't ask again. Our payment pages (run by Stripe) and our staff login (run by Cloudflare) may set cookies they need to work securely.
While you browse, we note in your browser, for that visit only, which page you arrived on and whether you came from an advert or a search engine. If you send us an enquiry, this is included so we know how you found us. It is not used for anything else and is cleared when you close your browser.
