Frequently Asked Questions

How long will it take to receive my simulator?

Your new simulator will be ready for installation within 7-10 days from the date of your order. A member of our team will contact you as soon as your order is placed to discuss details and arrange an installation date.

Bespoke simulators will take longer to prepare. This will be discussed whilst building your specification.

Where do you deliver?

Most of our customers are based in the United Kingdom. Our team will travel to wherever you live to setup your new simulator.

We don’t just work in the UK – Turnkey Simulators have customers in the USA and accross Europe. Contact us to find out more.

Can I upgrade my simulator later down the line?

Absolutely! All of our simulators are built with the future in-mind. Whether you want to upgrade your perihperal hardware, PC, or perhaps add motion to your base frame, we’re here to guide you through a world of possible upgrades.

Should I pick an ultrawide or triple monitor setup?

This is a question we are asked regularly, and there is no right or wrong answer. The ultrawide setup has a slightly smaller footprint, compared to the triple monitor configuration, which takes up slightly more space.

We recommend visting our showroom and testing out our different options to ensure you make the right decission for you.

Do you offer VR (virtual reality)?

Many of our customers like to us a VR headset with their simulator.

We can help configure your existing headset, or supply a range of VR options to suit your simulator and software requirements.

Aluminium profile types

All our simulators are built using Bosch Rexroth (BR) profile with a 10mm slot.

A lot of rigs on the market are made with IR or Item profile using an 8mm slot.

There are a couple of key differences between the two types of profile:

BR profile is more expensive and has thicker internal walls making it a little more ridged. You will see IR profile rigs using 40×120 profile to get the same rigidity we get with 40×80 profile.

That said they are both very good materials for building a rig with.

The differance you need to care about is the shape of the slot. If you have BR slot nuts they wont fit in IR profile and vice versa.

If you got your rig from us then its BR profile, if you got it from Trak Racer or GT Omega its IR profile.

We provide our accessories with both types of profile, please check which you have and select when you order.
